Copywriting, Proof-reading, Feature and Media Release Writing The pen is mightier than the sword and on any given day writing and editing is front and centre. Media releases, articles, website content … you name it, I ‘sharpen my pen’ and do it! Publicity Tours Putting together author tours is something that I’ve been doing for more than 20 years, so I’ve got a pretty good handle on what’s required. Whether it’s a multi-city tour or something on a much smaller scale, I can happily secure media coverage, arrange events, festival appearances and photo opportunities around New Zealand.
Social Media Representation Managing my clients Facebook and Twitters accounts gets results. I love the immediacy of this sort of communication and Tweet and create FB posts on behalf of my clients on a daily basis. Events and Product Launches Managing events and helping you to find the perfect venue for your product launch or event is what I do. Nine times out of ten I can get you into the social pages, too.
Literary Representation In recent times I have acted as an agent for several of my clients; assisting them to get published through traditional/self-publishing channels; seeking broadcast and print contribution opportunities for them; and signing them with speaking bureaux. Publishing Expertise I am frequently asked to give my clients advice about the publishing process. It’s often such a mystery for anyone new to the industry and I’m always happy to share my expertise and experience.
Manuscript appraisal With more than 20 years of experience in book publishing, I’ve got a pretty good ‘nose’ for a well told story and one deemed worthy of publication. Media training I offer clients advice on how best to handle media interviews. It’s actually quite simple and on the ‘Inside Track’ page of my website I share my top tips.
Editing Good writing is ultimately about good editing, and I do both on a daily basis, for clients and myself. International publicity Many of my clients now require publicity support beyond our shores and I am only too happy to tap into my network of overseas contacts and to forge new ones, on their behalf.
